Janna Colaco

Janna grew up in Manhattan Beach, California, and still has a deep love of the ocean.  After high school, she spent several years living in the Australian Outback.  Janna has a been a competitive swimmer, tennis player and gymnast.

Inspiration came in the spring of 1986 when Janna discovered motivational work.  She spent ten years with a transformational training organization, coaching people to reach their dreams.  Yoga entered the picture in 2002 when her youngest of four children reached two.  She dove into yoga head first, and in 2007 Janna became certified through the Yoga College of India as a yoga teacher.

Journeying deeper into the healing arts,  Janna became an honors graduate of the Hypnosis Motivation Institute, the oldest nationally accredited college of hypnotherapy in the United States.  She is a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, Master Hypnotist and Master Therapeutic Imagery Facilitator.

In 2015, Janna studied NLP in London with it’s founder, Dr. Richard Bandler, adding Certified NLP Practitioner to her list of modalities.  She is a Reiki Level II practitioner and a natural claircognizant channel.  She was ordained as a Healing Minister in 2014, and opened Mechanics of Grace Hypnotherapy that same year.

Janna’s classes include an eclectic mixture of her varied trainings and skills, and she bounces back and forth between Purple Yoga, her home, and her hypnotherapy office in the historic Villa del Sol building, all of which are within walking distance of each other.

Janna is a fine artist, mosaicist and painter and glass worker; she has four children, two ex-husbands, one dog, four chickens and a hamster.
