Yoga Therapy offers individual sessions enabling the therapist to guide you in the fine subtleties of muscle relaxation, stretching, and strengthening to help individuals manage their condition, reduce symptoms, restore balance, increase vitality, and improve attitude.
Postures are modified and adjusted to your body’s specific needs, using props, modifications, and alignment assists. This ensures that you get the full benefits from each pose.
The initial visit 90 minutes and includes: a detailed personal history, an evaluation of your strength and flexibility in simple Yoga postures, breath capacity and blood pressure analysis, as well as, initial recommendations for your personal Yoga program. Personal Yoga Program Designed to bring both strength and flexibility to your spine as well as an over all state of balance to the body and mind. Incorporated are principles of: breathing, Yoga asana, dynamic and static movement, and sequencing. A 15 -30 minute format is recommended to fit your busy schedule.
The first phase provides a dialogue for changing situations that aggravate your symptoms. The second phase provides you with a simple system to record the progress of your Yoga program and to rate your overall state of wellness.
Rest and Relaxation
There is no substitute for an adequate amount of rest and relaxation. Yoga offers proven techniques to quiet the mind and totally relax the body. We will offer relaxation techniques through Yoga breathing methods, and Meditation.
