Inside Flight School: Learn to Teach Inversions

Flight School is a seven-day, intensive continued education course taught by senior instructor Danny Strain, who wrote this blog post.

Over the course of your study, we will break down a total of three inversion and three arm balance postures.

We will go in depth into the postures themselves, create sequences around the poses, and cultivate a firm understanding into the anatomy and structure of each pose.

After completing this course, you will have the tools and ability to instruct these more advanced postures in a fun and safe way.

We will be discussing Headstand, Forearm-stand, Handstand, Crow, Side Crow, and Hurdler.

During each session, we will do a hour long practice incorporating the posture of the day.

We will then discuss said posture for two hours; getting into the posture to understand the complexities and regulations.

It is my goal to help you feel proficient in doing each posture and to then feel confident in instructing them. You will build a timed sequences around these postures and present them to your group.

We will practice and dissect your sequence as a group to build each other up, and give constructive feedback.

This CE course was created to help inspire, conquer fears, and add a exciting element to your teaching.

At the end of this course, you will have acquired more understanding of these poses and will have hours to put towards your 300 hr Certificate.

Flight school begins Saturday, February 3 and continues on consecutive Saturday's through March 16. Sign up for Flight School here!
